For the last several years, Jonathan has been wanting to invest in a guitar to take to Niger. He had a list of things he would like it to have - especially as this would be the guitar he would have for years to come. He wanted it to have pickup (be able to plug in for amplification), a wide neck for his large hands, and good sound quality. What Jonathan and I didn't know was that the kind of guitar he wanted was way out of our price range!

Unbeknown to us, our friends, Ivan and Jonathan Wheeler, took on a project! Finding Jonathan a guitar! They spent an entire afternoon playing guitar after guitar in search of the right one. Ivan called many of our family members and church friends and everyone agreed to pitch in to buy an incredible guitar for Jonathan. He now owns a beautiful Gibson guitar! It has everything that he needs.

Our friends and family didn't stop there! They purchased all the accessories that Jonathan would need to care for his guitar in Niger. Wow! What can we say? We are blessed! Thank you! Thank you!

As I said, we received two gifts....
The first was Jonathan's guitar. The second was the incredible outpouring of love that we so tangibly felt from our family and friends! We could not walk this journey without your love and faithful prayer - you have upheld us daily. Thank you!

I know whenever Jonathan plays his guitar, and whenever I listen as he plays, we will remember this special moment... Then we'll smile and thank God for the incredible blessing that He has given to us - you.
